Process
The poster was created for an assignment in my Intro to Typography class, and we were tasked with researching a well-known typeface. I was given Clarendon, and the first part of the assignment was to create a specimen sheet. This specimen sheet gives you a basic idea of the unique forms and features of the typeface. This played into the creation of the final poster, where I used specific type forms from the specimen sheet.
Final Poster
Created using Adobe Illustrator, the poster features the unique forms of the Clarendon typeface. Additionally, it features a short paragraph from the research paper I was tasked with writing along with the assignment. The paper specifically discussed the creation and history of the Clarendon typeface and its many uses throughout history.
