OVERVIEW
The idea behind the project was to develop an exhibition centered on the Negro Motorist Green Book. A guidebook for black people traveling during segregation. The exhibition covers famous locations included in the many editions of the Green Book and broken down into distinct decades. Each decade will have offerings of what made that time period unique. The exhibition will also act as a timeline of sorts for the growth of the Green Book and its impact on Black America.
Research
Research was a big part of the development of the Museum experience. Research took two forms: collecting data on what people wanted out of a museum and understanding whether or not people were aware of my topic. Another big part of it was collecting information. The research for the museum came from several sources, along with looking at digitized Green Books available in library archives. All of this helped develop the feel and structure of the museum.
Brand Development
The branding was a big part of establishing an identity for the museum. One of the first parts of the project involved developing a brand for the museum as a whole while also developing additional unique branding for sections of the museum.

Museum Space Development
The biggest deliverable for the project was the museum space. Getting this right was essential to making the project successful. I went through several layouts before landing on my final one. All of it was created in combination with both the Adobe suite and the 3D modeling program Blender. Using this program allowed me to create things at a realistic scale.

MUSEUM GUIDEBOOK
Another big part of the project was the development of the museum guidebook. A companion piece to go along with the museum experience. It acts as both a souvenir and an educational material. It contains a lot of the information contained inside the museum. With additional information that gives more detail on things covered in the museum.
