Overview
The purpose of the project was to replicate the process of developing a brand from start to finish. In this case, the brand would be an NBA team based in a new city. The project was created with this prompt in mind, and the overall identity was crafted as if the NBA were bringing a team to a new market. This project was created as an extension of a school project and was developed during the summer break of 2025. Meaning a lot of the steps used were drawn and taken from that project.
Brand Development
The biggest part of this project was overall brand development. I went into this project looking to create a brand unique to Vancouver that felt like it fit the area. After several brainstorming sessions, I landed on the name "Vancouver Fury." Along with the use of the Canadian goose as the central image for team branding and logos.
LOGO DEVELOPMENT
I created several logo variations based on sketches, and the logo went through several iterations before landing on the final logo.

COLOR SYSTEM AND PATTERNS
The colors were inspired by the colors of the landscapes of Vancouver. While the topographic pattern is based on topographic patterns of the Vancouver area’s mountain ranges.
